I have a little bit of money still left in my wallet for political contributions this election cycle, and I am open to suggestions. If anyone knows of a candidate who is running openly and aggressively on the issue of election integrity and is in a tough race, please feel free to solicit a contribution from me on their behalf. You can post your recommendation (and your pitch) in a comment or, if you prefer, you can email me directly. My email address is in my profile.
In choosing among suggested candidates, these would be my priorities:
- Candidates running for the US House or Senate, NC first, then any other state.
- Candidates running for the legislature in states that have a particularly dismal track record on the issue of election integrity.
I will also give priority to candidates who:
o Would displace someone who has a poor track record on the issue of election integrity.
o Have a long-established track record on on the issue of election integrity (over a Johnny-Come-Lately).
o Appear to have a broad interest (eg, not just electronic voting machines or not just voter suppression) in the integrity of our elections.
Thanks. I still have a little money, but I have run out of time to do my homework on this one!
